Indian Unrest
Indian Unrest is a reflection of a marginalised experience, living in the fringes of an intolerant atmosphere and which goes against the ethos of the idea of India. The plurality of belief systems in the sub-continent plays a big role in its culture and national identity. Although there are many differing ideas and beliefs co-existing in the same country, the Indian people have lived peacefully throughout the centuries. In recent years, a monolithic majority has been claiming dominance over the cultural ecosystem. The tryptic tells a story of a person finding themself in an uncertain time in their own homeland.
Chai Pani
Chai Pani examines an internal conversation of growing up in a postcolonial nation and moving to the west. I am exploring a re-shaped self and the acceptace of the past and the present and the possible future.
Cause
Cause explores the ideas of unity, morality and history. “Cause” is meant to act as the mirror for the self and society. Confronting the collective identity of bearing so-called “cause”. Change is a constant, a vital part of being. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly important to analyse our actions and the conflicts.
